Day #25 "Green" and a BIRTHDAY!!!

This is so appropriate! Today is "green" day and it just so happens that green is my favorite color...and...It's my BIRTHDAY!! I am 25, again! HA!

Anyhow, moving on...here is my "green" picture for the day. My girls' dresser. I love this dresser. My mom painted this for them and I just think it is so adorable.
Didn't she do an awesome job? 

Now, there is another birthday today! My dear friend, Dawn Bolding! She and I share a birthday. I miss her very much. She lives in Arizona now, her and her husband have a church down there in Winslow (keep them in your prayers). I went there last summer to see them. It was awesome! I'm actually going to Phoenix here in a month, and she's gonna come down there! I'm so excited! I can't wait! 
Dawn and I lived down the road from one another for a few years. Well, four to be exact. For over a year, I would drive down to her house at 5 am, almost every weekday morning, to pray. I can say, this was the most incredible time of my life. God moved in mighty ways. Dawn is an amazing woman. She loves God, her family and people. Her heartbeat of course, are children. I wish her a happy birthday and an awesome year!

Hope you are having a fabulous day. The weather here in the valley is absolutely gorgeous!! Cold and breezy with floating clouds.
As for this green dresser... Beautiful! I think your mother did a wonderful job ☺

Weather here is not gorgeous! It has rained off and on all day. But that's Portland :)...hence the reason everything is so green!
I'll tell her you said so. I think she did a great job too! ☺♥

An anniversary, a birthday and a birth defect??

You are probably wondering what that is all about. Right?? Well, on Wednesday, Ashley came running into the house crying, not screaming, just crying. She had tripped over Zoey's (our dog) leash and scraped her arm. Not a big deal, no blood. However, on closer examination, I noticed a lump on her elbow, as if her arm was out of socket. Strange, I never noticed that before and she wasn't screaming out in pain. So, being the worrisome mom that I am, I called the doctor. Of course they said bring her in. So off to Kaiser we go, first to be seen by a doctor(who wasn't even going to do an x-ray until I persisted), then to Radiology for x-rays, back to the same doctor who was surprised there was actually a reason to do the x-ray. She then told me that her radius was not in the right place and it could be the result of an injury prior to that day or from birth(which would be considered a birth defect). Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig!!!

We arrived home late Sunday night after what seemed like a year away from home. (Actually it was a little over three weeks.) We left on the 7th of August at about 4 pm and drove to Grants Pass. We stayed the night there, getting up the next morning and continuing on to Portland. We got to Portland about 3pm, spent the evening hanging out at my brother's house and getting ready for the next day. Saturday the 9th, we celebrated my littlest nephew, Judah Milo Carlson's first birthday. His actual birthday is the 14th but for sake of family and friends we had the party that Saturday. My brother's church family came and then some of his family and some of my sister in laws family came. We bar-b-qued and played games, but mostly just talked. Then the next day was church. We went to church with them, they go to the Gleason's church in Oregon City. They are very sweet people. I love Sis. Gleason, she always has the kindest words to say.
