Day #8 "Sun"

I live in Portland. It is beautiful. However, we get A LOT of rain this time of year. Well, actually, we get A LOT of rain, period. So I cannot post a picture of the sun today as it is raining. Here is a few pics of where I would like to be right now, where there is A LOT of sun: from first pic to last, Winslow, AZ; Winslow, AZ; Grand Canyon, AZ; Prescott, AZ; Grand Canyon, AZ; Las Vegas, NV.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ARIZONA! Lol!
In fact, we are seriously contemplating retiring there in 5-7 years (if it be God's will). :-)

For the last three years, Len and I have gone for a week's vacation to Scottsdale during Spring Training and went to a Giant's game. It's so wonderful there then. ♥it!

P.S. I love the way your kids pose for photos. They are so adorable!

Are you serious?? I'll definitely invite myself for a visit! lol...We are going to Phoenix during spring break, and I can't wait! I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did, even in the blazing heat. But there are so many fabulous, WARM places in Arizona!

Tena~ That's when we'll be there too, well, in Phoenix. But I would love to go to Scottsdale :)

Aunt Paula~ LOL! Yes, and that is the MAIN reason I am going! I can't wait to see you! The kids are counting the days, Elle is marking them off on the calendar!

"Train up a child"

This is not just a cliche, it is scripture. And it may very well be one of the most used scriptures. On Tuesday night, my boys participated in their very first communion and foot washing service. Some may think they are too young and don't understand the symbolism, and that may be true, but being that they both have the Holy Ghost and have been baptized, I thought it was time for them to take part. I explained to them what would happen and the reasoning behind it. I also asked them to examine their hearts to make sure they were heaven ready.
